Superfighters is a 2D action fighting game where small characters battle inside compact arenas using punches, firearms, explosives, environmental objects, and stage hazards. There is no continuous story campaign with dialogue or narrative choices. Instead, the game is built around individual fights and several modes in which the objective is to eliminate opponents and remain alive. Random player positions, weapon spawns, objects, and critical gun hits make repeated matches play differently.

Three Ways to Fight

Stage Mode provides a sequence of battles that must be completed one after another. Winning the full mode unlocks the Funnyman character skin. VS Mode allows players and computer-controlled fighters to be divided into teams or fight independently, while Survival Mode sends endlessly spawning enemies against the player and continues for as long as they can survive. The game also supports two local players, who can cooperate or fight against each other.

Weapons and Close Combat

Fighters can punch enemies at close range, pick up weapons, shoot, throw grenades, and use special power-ups. The original game includes 13 weapons, with firearms, melee equipment, and explosives appearing around the arenas. Players normally begin with a pistol and grenades, but stronger equipment can appear during the fight. Bullet-time power-ups temporarily slow the action and can provide an advantage during dangerous situations.

During a fight, players can:

·         run, jump, and crouch around the arena;

·         attack opponents with melee strikes;

·         collect weapons that appear on the map;

·         shoot enemies with available firearms;

·         throw grenades at groups or protected positions;

·         use the environment and hazards against other fighters.

Arena design is an important part of combat. The original version includes locations such as Storage, Rooftops, Police Station, Hazardous, Backstreets, and Testing Floor. Physics affect characters and objects, so explosions, falls, moving items, and nearby hazards can change a fight unexpectedly. Because useful weapons and objects do not always appear in the same places or at the same moment, players often need to adapt instead of following one fixed strategy.

Learning the Controls

Movement uses the directional keys, while separate buttons handle melee attacks, shooting, grenades, and power-ups. Success depends on combining movement with quick weapon pickups and choosing when to fight at close range or attack from a distance. Superfighters does not use traditional character leveling or equipment progression between matches; advancement mainly comes from completing Stage Mode, surviving longer, and learning how to use each arena, weapon, and random situation more effectively.
