Hide Online is a multiplayer prop-hunt game where two teams take different roles during each match. Props try to survive by disguising themselves as ordinary objects, while Hunters search the map and eliminate anything that is actually another player. There is no story campaign or traditional level progression. Matches are built around short rounds, changing roles, different maps, and the contrast between hiding and searching.

Playing as a Prop

Props can transform into objects found around the current map, including chairs, boxes, cups, toilets, and other items. The goal is to choose a believable position and avoid being discovered until the round ends. Props receive a short period at the beginning of a match to find a hiding place before the Hunters are released, and they can later move or transform again if their original position becomes unsafe.

Hunting Hidden Players

Hunters use weapons to search for Props and must eliminate the disguised players before time expires. Props periodically produce taunts that can reveal their approximate location, so Hunters need to listen and watch for objects that appear out of place. Both teams also have special abilities: Props can temporarily stun nearby Hunters and gain a speed boost, while Hunters can throw grenades to damage hidden enemies.

The main gameplay includes:

·         transforming into objects that match the environment;

·         choosing hiding spots before Hunters are released;

·         moving or changing form when discovered;

·         listening for Prop taunts while playing as a Hunter;

·         shooting suspicious objects and using grenades;

·         surviving until the timer ends or eliminating all Props.

Winning a Round

Hide Online uses team-based matches rather than separate story levels. Props win by remaining hidden until the round ends, while Hunters win by finding and defeating the opposing team. The roles switch between matches, so players regularly experience both sides of the same map and learn which objects make convincing disguises and which positions are commonly checked.

Maps contain different layouts and sets of available Props, which changes the hiding options from one location to another. Hide Online therefore depends on observation as much as shooting: Props need to blend into the environment, while Hunters must notice small differences, follow sounds, and decide which objects are worth checking before the timer runs out.
