Bomb It is a maze-based action game where players move through compact arenas, place bombs, destroy obstacles, and try to eliminate their opponents. There is no story campaign or character-driven plot. Each match focuses on reaching enemies through destructible blocks while avoiding explosions from both your own bombs and rival players. Bombs explode after a short delay and send blasts through nearby lanes, so placing one without leaving an escape route can eliminate your own character.

Opening Paths Through the Arena

At the start of a round, many routes are blocked by destructible objects. Bombing these barriers gradually opens the map and can reveal useful power-ups. Upgrades can increase the number of bombs that can be active at once, extend explosion range, improve movement speed, or provide defensive and offensive abilities. The changing layout means players need to decide whether to clear space for movement or save a bomb for trapping an opponent.

Bombs, Bonuses, and Opponents

The main actions during a match include:

·         moving through maze-like passages;

·         placing bombs beside destructible blocks;

·         collecting power-ups revealed by explosions;

·         escaping before a bomb detonates;

·         trapping enemies between walls and blast zones;

·         watching for chain reactions caused by nearby bombs.

Combat depends heavily on timing. Bombs cannot usually hit an opponent immediately, so successful attacks often involve predicting where another character will move and blocking possible escape routes. Explosions can also trigger other bombs early, creating larger chain reactions across connected parts of the arena.

Bomb It supports both solo and local two-player matches. In single-player mode, the player fights computer-controlled opponents. The standard controls use the Arrow keys for movement and Space to place a bomb. In two-player mode, Player 1 uses WASD and Space, while Player 2 uses the Arrow keys and Enter. The controls can also be customized in supported versions of the game.

Winning the Match

There are no traditional character levels or RPG-style upgrades that permanently increase statistics between matches. Progress comes from surviving the current arena, using temporary power-ups, and completing the selected match objective. Different versions of the original game provide multiple modes and settings, but the central system remains the same: open paths with explosions, collect useful bonuses, avoid getting trapped, and remove opposing characters before they do the same to you. Because every placed bomb can become dangerous to both sides, positioning and escape planning are just as important as attacking.
